Safety kitchen for Kids

Safe Kids Kansas Organization reminds parents and caregivers to prevent children from hazardous accident that may occur in the kitchen in upcoming holidays.

Furthermore, according to them parents should keep cabinets closed and locked the dangerous substances and tools in the kitchen. It must all be out of reach of the children. Attentive supervision is the most important thing to do for the children.

Moreover, children are naughty. They keep on doing things even if they're only watching or helping the old ones in cooking. If this is the case, we still have to keep an eye on them, because they will do everything just to satisfy their being naughty.
They could be able to hurt themselves and worst maybe they will get burn. A child will suffer a full-thickness burn (third-degree burn) after just three seconds of exposure to 140-degree water if they have committed in burn.

In addition, Safe Kids Kansas recommends the following precautions against kitchen burns:
  • Never leave a hot stove unattended. Unattended food on the stove is the number one cause of home fires.
  • Never hold a child while cooking or carrying hot items.
  • Cook on back burners whenever possible, and turn all handles toward the back of the stove.
  • Don't allow loose-fitting clothing in the kitchen.
  • Keep hot foods and liquids away from the edges of counters and tables. Be especially carefuly around tablecloths - children can pull hot dishes down onto themselves.
  • Tie up the electrical cords of small appliances. A toddler playing with a dangling cord can pull a toaster or microwave down from a countertop.
The best thing that you have to do is to give you children good guidance when they are in the kitchen. For sure they will behave if we talk with them nicely and kindly. We should also say to them the bad effects if they will be going to get naughty in the kitchen.
